Caroline has been an artist all her life, gaining her BA (Fine Art) Honours degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, where she obtained firsts in Painting and Design. 

As an artist, Caroline has always been committed to ongoing learning. Over the years she has developed her skills under the guidance of many successful artists, including a spell at an art school in France, studying under an artist from Paris. She loves the busy West Australian art world, exhibiting extensively at many local group exhibitions and is presently involved in teaching drawing, watercolours and pastels at the Melville Community Arts Centre, and acrylics and oils at Tresillian Community Centre. 

She has won a number of art awards including the Mosman Art Award in 2007 and exhibited in the Black Swan Portrait Prize in 2008. She co-ran the plein air workshops for the Gallery of West Australia in 2010. In 2012 she won four art prizes. She won two awards in 2013 and two in 2014 including the Kondinin R5000 acquisitive award.

In 2014 she judge the WA Pastel Society Art Awards and demonstrated for them in 2015. She also won five art awards last year.
